How to exercise with a sandbag:

Perform the whole circuit of exercise at least 3 times, doing each step as many times in 30 seconds before you move to the other step. For effective exercise, use 30 to 70 pound bag. You may take a rest for 30 seconds between the moves.

  1. 1.     Side lunge and snatch:

In first step, grab the sand bag, and place it in between the thighs. Lunge to your left, pressing your forearm, touching the sandbag to the floor and stand back to straight. After left simultaneously move to the right. Continue doing it for 30 seconds, lunging in alternate sides. Henkin explains that “Keep your weight over your heel, which will force your hamstring and glute to activate, so you’ll lift from your hips instead of your back.”

In the second step do normal pushups with the sand bag, all you have to do is place the sandbag on the floor, on your right and make the pushup position. After it move the bag to your left i.e. underneath your chest and do a push up. Then take the bag with your right hand on your right side and do another pushup. Continue this whole exercise for few seconds, by changing the alternating sides. Henkin says that “Brace your core to avoid rotating your body as you drag the bag,”

In this exercise, take the sandbag; hold it in front of your thighs. Move your right foot backwards and swing the bad towards the outer side of the left thigh, at the same moment lift the bag to your forearm to catch it at chest level, meanwhile lift your right knee. Then stops and simultaneously do it with the left foot being back. Repeat the exercise for 30 seconds, while switching legs alternately. Henkin says that “To increase difficulty, go into your next lunge without pausing,”
