According to reports, Ortega’s company Pontegadea Immobiliaria had purchased a tower from Abu Dhabi’s tycoon Khadem al-Qubaisi. This tower is known as ‘Cepsa Tower” after it was leased by oil refiner ‘Cepsa’. Pontegadea Immobiliaria hasn’t commented on it while the towers in the northern district are owned by Pontegadea Immobiliaria and three other companies.
Apart from prime locations in New York, Seoul and Madrid, Ortega ahs also purchased properties in Mayfair and Oxford Street of London. Most of his locations are on rent for Inditex stores like Zara but rivals like H&M are also given place here.
80 years old Ortega is second richest man in the world with wealth of $72.7 billion as he is just behind Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates, according to the July’s report by Forbes magazine.
At t3he end of 2015, the assets of Pontegadea Immobiliaria were 6.06 billion euros that were 8.3% higher as compared to last year.
