How to have a foot massage at home?

   Step 1- 

Grab a small tub and fill it with warm water. You can add bubble bath or aromatic bath oils in the water, it will help you relax. Soak your feet in the water for 10-15 minutes. Use scented foot massage lotions which will help you feel more relaxing. Warm water will soften your feet. You can give yourself mini-pedicure by trimming the toenails. Before beginning the foot massage, dry your feet gently with the towel.

  Step 2- 

Take a soft towel, put your feet over it, and massage gently with massage oil or lotion. Place your hands and by applying minimal pressure glide your hands up and down several times. Move your hands in one direction and similarly move it in opposite direction. First massage your one feet and then switch to the other. This massage will increase the blood flow in your feet and toes.

  Step 3- 

Place your hands on the top of the toes, by applying pressure on your thumbs move backwards to the ankle. Then work on your heel, apply more pressure with your fingers and glide forward towards the sole and then to the underside of your toes. Massage your one feet properly and then switch to the other feet and repeat the whole procedure again.

  Step 4- 

Now work on the sole of your feet. Make a fist with your hands and by using your knuckles knead the sole of the feet. Do it in similar way like you knead the dough for baking. After few minutes of kneading switch to your other feet and do the same procedure again.

  Step 5- 

Now place your toe in between the thumb and forefinger, then apply little pressure and move the thumb in circular motion, three times in clockwise motion and three times in anti clockwise motion, rub the thumb gently. You can also place your fingers between the thumbs and then rub it. After massaging one thumb then move to the other one.

Step 6- 

Place your both hands, cupping the foot and then applying the pressure move the hands up and down, rubbing the foot. You should massage the sides of the foot properly for effective foot massage. After massaging one foot then move to the other one and repeat the same procedure. Repeat this exercise for few minutes. After you have then massaging apply a good scented foot massage lotion on your both foot.
