When Meghan got married with Prince Harry, she was dressed in silk Givenchy wedding dress. Before the wedding, the public spent many months guessing who would prepare her royal gown for her marriage with the Prince Harry. The Princess Ayako of Japan got married with Kei Moriya and no one think whose designer, she will wear the bridal dress but it is thought what kind of kimono, she will choose and what will it symbolize.

One Monday, she will come at Melji shrine to meet her husband-to-be and she will be dressed in uchiki outer robe and hakama, wide legged trousers. When they meet, the princess will change more formal kouchiki with long and wide sleeves and long skirts called naga hakama.

On Tuesday, the newlywed couple will attend reception banquet where crown prince and crown princess will be there. Ayako will meet family of Moriya but what will be her dress for this occasion. The dress of Ayako will be added with symbolism to keep it with tradition of Japan. The dresses of many Japanese brides are embellished with range of celebratory motifs like pine trees, plums and bamboo. The pine is evergreen and bamboo bends but it does not break and plum blooms during coldest season.

The common brides choose multiple costume changes during wedding ceremony and reception. The women wear all white shiromuku kimono and it is ornate with white coat and long train in Shinto style ceremonies. The white symbolizes the purity and it shows the beginning of the life of the bride with her new family. This dress is worn with large white hood or white hat, which is their traditional wedding dress of the bride.
