Why a Little Hunger Is OK When Dieting

You are expected to feel deprivation and constant hunger pangs if you’re on the way for dropping weight. But whether is this right and losing weight really needs to feel hungry?
We asked these questions from Cynthia Sass, author of the bestselling book of the New York Times. She said that feeling constant hunger is not necessary for losing weight and in fact it is wrong thing. Dieters around the world would like this news but Cynthia also added that feeling mild to moderate hunger during your meal times three to four times a day is important. You should remain energized and feel full for three to five hours after a healthy, balanced meal. Your hunger should return after that, which is a signal that refueling time has come.
You should never skip meals and dip below 1200 calories daily as mild to moderate hunger doesn’t mean that you feel starved, hungry or light-headed all day. Cynthia added that this hunger pattern is right and it shows that you’re taking a balance diet. This habit prevents you not only from over-eating but also from under-eating. Overeating due to severe hunger will lead to add extra pounds instead of losing weight while under-eating is the main cause for starvation of important tissues that should be nourished along with slowing down your metabolism and weakening your immune system. Long term under-eating will also cause ravenous eating that will lead to bingeing.
In this weight-loss puzzle, hunger definitely has a role. It will take time for you to understand that what amount of diet is right to feel hungry at mealtimes and also satisfied later on. You also have to make adjustments if you’re not used to feel hunger. But instead of holding on to them, just take it as to know that the calories you’re consuming are using up by your body. The feeling of hunger few times a day is a natural thing and it’ll help you to guide towards your dieting plan.
